- Clinical recommendations including cardiac treatment plan
Available services
Basic radiograph interpretation
If you are uncertain if your patient would benefit from an in-depth cardiac evaluation, Dr. Boileau can simply give you his clinical impression after reviewing the patient’s thoracic radiographs.
However, because this consultation does not include a complete review of the patient’s record, clinical recommendations cannot be given. In any case, the interpretation will help guide your diagnostic plan (is there significant heart disease or not).
Available services
Electrocardiography (ECG)
An ECG is recommended in the following circumstances :
- An arrhythmia is detected upon cardiac auscultation
- Syncope/collapse of unknown origin
- Cardiac monitoring during anesthesia
An ECG is usually recorded on paper. The more leads you can record (I, II, III, aVR, aVF, aVL), the more accurate the interpretation. However, in some cases it is not possible. Interpretation of a single lead can sometimes provide a lot of information. You can also take a picture of the ECG and send it be email or text message.
*** We will mail our equipment to you so you can do the test yourself.
