Privacy Policy – Les services e-vet mobiles

The protection of your personal information is important to Les services e-vet mobiles. We comply with Bill 25 – An Act to modernize legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector in Quebec. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect the personal information we collect from our customers, subscribers and users of our services.

Collection of personal information

We collect personal information to provide high-quality mobile veterinary services to our customers. This information includes the pet owner’s name, mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone number, as well as the name, description, and medical examinations of pet patients. Personal information is also collected when appointments are booked, animals are examined, and services are billed.

We also collect personal information from our newsletter subscribers to provide them with updates and information about our services and promotions. We use Mailchimp to store this information.

We collect personal information from users who register for our continuing education courses on Zoom webinars to provide them with instructions on how to access the course. This information includes name and e-mail address.

Use of personal information

We use personal information to respond to inquiries, bill for services, provide updates and information about our services and promotions to newsletter subscribers, and provide instructions for accessing continuing education.

Storage and protection of personal information

Personal information is stored on DaySmart Vet and Timeless Vet System patient record management software, as well as Glideapp and Quickbook for billing purposes. We take physical, technical, and administrative security measures to protect personal information against loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Newsletter subscribers’ personal information is stored on Mailchimp, protected by physical, technical and administrative security measures.

The personal information of users registered for our continuing education courses is stored on ZOOM webinars, which are protected by physical, technical and administrative security measures. E-mail address

Cookies

To analyze visits to its website, Les services e-vet mobiles uses Google Analytics software. This software uses cookies to record certain visitor behaviours, such as the number of visits to the site, the path is taken and the duration of the visit. A cookie is a text file stored on the user’s computer hard drive. This file is completely harmless and cannot contain viruses. Under no circumstances does the cookie make it possible to identify the visitor. The data remains completely anonymous and is used solely to improve the company’s site in line with visitors’ needs.

Electronic messages

E-vet mobiles services comply with the Canadian Anti-Spam Act (CASL) that came into force on July 1, 2014, which stipulates that it is now prohibited to send commercial electronic messages (CEMs) without the consent (permission) of the recipient. A CEM is a message that encourages participation in a commercial activity, including the offer, advertisement or promotion of a product, service or person. If a recipient receives a CEM services e-vet mobiles, it means that he or she is on the mailing list for this type of communication. However, they can manage their e-vet subscriptions at any time. An unsubscribe tab is included at the end of each newsletter.

Access to and correction of personal information
